We’re recruiting for The Hideaway Bondi, a 200-seat New York–inspired steakhouse and cocktail bar opening this April. Big energy, late trading, serious volume, but done properly.

This isn’t a tweezers-and-foam kitchen.
It’s produce-driven, bold, and built to move.

The Role You’ll work directly with the Head Chef and Executive team to:

• Build prep systems that can handle 150–300 covers
• Lead a tight, high-performance brigade
• Bring structure and calm to service
• Maintain food cost discipline and consistency
• Help shape a menu that balances steakhouse classics with modern Australian influence

The kitchen layout is compact and smart — so systems and leadership matter.
You

• Proven experience in premium or high-volume kitchens
• Comfortable leading from the front during busy service
• Strong on organisation, prep control, and mentoring juniors
• Calm under pressure and commercially aware
• Ambitious but grounded

This role would suit:

• A current Sous Chef looking for a serious opening
• Or a strong Junior Sous chef ready to step up
