Functions & Events Lead (Hospitality)
Adelaide | Full-time | $70k-$80k (experience dependent)
 
We are recruiting for a well-established hospitality venue in Adelaide, looking for a Functions & Events Lead to take ownership of a busy and growing events program.
 
This is a hands-on, venue-based role with scope to contribute to functions and events across a small hospitality group. Ideal for someone who enjoys being on the floor, working closely with teams, and building strong client relationships — not sitting behind a desk all day.
 
What the role looks like:

• Owning functions end-to-end: enquiry → planning → delivery → follow-up
• Working directly with clients on menus, run sheets, timings, and expectations
• Leading event service on the floor where required
• Coordinating with venue management, kitchen, and FOH teams
• Maintaining the presentation and readiness of function spaces
• Identifying opportunities to grow functions revenue and improve guest experience
• Light group-level oversight of events (while remaining primarily venue-based)

This would suit someone who:

• Has venue-based functions or events experience (hospitality essential)
• Is organised, proactive, and comfortable juggling multiple events
• Communicates well with both guests and internal teams
• Enjoys ownership and accountability
• Is flexible with evenings and weekends
