The Company Our client has been a global leader in the engineering space for over 50 years, providing world class products & service to their extensive client base all over the world. With the manufacturing business expanding they are looking to add a Senior Accounts Payable Officer to the team to oversee multiple sites. Based in Milperra, this is a great opportunity to join an ASX listed business with strategic vision & supportive culture. This is potentially a temp to perm opportunity for the right person.
 
 
The Role
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, banking and supplier invoicing. Your main duties include:

• Supplier invoice processing, approving and matching invoices to purchase orders, processing payment runs, invoice coding, and payment advices
• Managing the Accounts payable inbox and action supplier queries.
• Reconciliations - supplier statements, bank, credit card and balance sheet clearing account
• Update Daily cashflow forecast in a timely
• Assist with month end accounting procedures including reporting on Aged Payables.
• Compliance with authority delegations for all processes
• Verify and process employee expense claims (including credit cards).
• Month End Reporting
• Supervise and train junior team members
• Ongoing focus on continuous improvement opportunities
• All other duties and responsibilities as appropriate

 
Preferred Experience

• 2-3 years experience in a similar role in a manufacturing/engineering/logistics environment ideal
• Sound knowledge of ERP systems & Excel
• High attention to detail & accuracy
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proactive approach and positive attitude
