The Company

The culture is practical, friendly and no-nonsense, with an approachable management style and direct access to the business owner.  They are seeking an Bookkeeper / Junior Accountant to manage financial activities.
Based on the Gold Coast, this permanent full-time position offers onsite parking, a range of employee benefits, and the opportunity to work closely with the day-to-day operations of the business.

The Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will play a key role in managing the company's financial administration and supporting the wider business. Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Performing bank and account reconciliations
• Processing end-to-end payroll
• Preparing and lodging BAS statements
• Maintaining accurate financial records using Xero
• Assisting with new employee onboarding and HR administration
• Providing general administrative support as required
• Answering incoming calls and assisting with office operations

About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Previous experience in a Bookkeeper, Assistant Accountant, or similar finance role
• Strong working knowledge of Xero
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience working within a small to medium-sized business environment
• Payroll processing and BAS preparation experience
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• A practical, hands-on approach with strong communication abilities
• The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a team environment
