The Company
My client is a Global Freight Forwarder with a standout brand and service across the world. As a leader in the Australasian logistics sector, they are an innovative service provider that embraces collaboration, learning, and development. Due to continuous growth & expansion they are looking to add an Import / Export Operations & Customer Service Coordinator to the team based near Acacia Ridge. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will work in a team with a strong focus on supporting key accounts, process & compliance excellence, and a team first approach.
  
The Role
Your main responsibilities will include: 

• End-to-end processing of import and export bookings
• Booking transport with airlines, ocean carriers, and local service providers
• Managing airfreight, seafreight LCL and FCL shipments
• Coordinating shipment milestones from booking through to final delivery
• Working alongside colleagues in other departments to ensure we are going above and beyond for clients
• Ensuring that invoices and charges are correct and posted in a timely manner
• Liaise with overseas agents clearly and in a timely manner ensuring a great customer service experience for clients & overseas partners
• Working closely with customs team ensuring that shipments are cleared in advance of arrival into Australia
• Ensuring that documentation that is passed to customs team is completed fully and correctly

Your Experience

• Minimum 1-2 years experience in freight forwarding
• Relationship-building skills and strong communication abilities
• Prior experience using CargoWise (CW1) is highly regarded
• Training will be provided but you'll need the ability to learn and pick things up quickly
