The Company
My client is a fast-growing Australian FMCG business with their head office in the Blair Athol area. Over the last 5 years their business has grown 10-fold on the back of a strong business model, niche products and outstanding customer service. With a recent promotion they are looking for a Senior Accountant that can move into a Finance Manager role within the next 12 months.

The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, will be pivotal in managing and overseeing our financial operations. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for:

• Month end close processes
• Ensuring balance sheet account reconciliations are prepared for Australia
• Budgeting & forecasting
• Sales and cashflow reporting
• Oversight of the accounts receivable/payable/payroll functions
• Preparation of BAS/GST/PAYG returns
• Support system and process improvement initiatives
• Other ad-hoc projects and reporting as required
• Managing a small transactional team

Preferred Experience
You will be ideally CA/CPA Qualified with at least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar financial or commercial accounting role.

My client is looking for someone with a fantastic attitude, ability to partner the wider business, and potential to lead the national region in the near future. You will need the energy & capability to communicate with operations across a number of sections. As the business expands further this position will grow with it.
