The Company
My client is a fast-growing Australasian market leader in the logistics & freight forwarding space. The business has expanded to an exceptional product & service, a strong base of key accounts, and a loyal team of employees. With the business now expanding to 7 locations across APAC, they are looking for a Company Accountant to oversee the accounting function.
 
The Role
Reporting to the General Manager, you will take control of the month end reporting, budgeting & forecasting, and commercial analysis. You will be responsible for:

• Month end close processes for the ANZ and general ledger accounting
• Ensuring balance sheet account reconciliations are prepared for Australia and NZ
• Budgeting & forecasting
• Treasury, foreign exchange activities
• Management of sales and cashflow reporting
• Commercial analysis
• Ownership & calculation of sales commissions
• Oversight of the accounts receivable/payable/payroll functions for ANZ
• Preparation of BAS/GST/PAYG returns
• Support system and process improvement initiatives
• Other ad-hoc projects and reporting as required
• Managing a small transactional team

 
Preferred Experience
You will be ideally CA/CPA Qualified with at least 2-3 years' experience in a similar financial or commercial accounting role.
 
My client is looking for someone with a fantastic attitude, ability to partner the wider business, and potential to lead the APAC region in the near future. You will need the energy & capability to communicate with operations across a number of sections. As the business expands further this position will grow with it.
