The Company
My client is a Global Freight Forwarder with a standout brand and service across the world. As a leader in the Australasian logistics sector, they are an innovative service provisor that embraces collaboration, learning, and development. Due to continuous growth & expansion they are looking to add an Imports Air Freight Specialist to the team based in Eagle Farm. Reporting to the General Manager, you will work in a team with a strong focus on supporting key accounts, and process & compliance excellence.
  
The Role
Your main responsibilities will include: 

• Coordinating all aspects of import air freight operations
• Liaising with local and overseas vendors for air imports
• Negotiate rates with carriers and clients
• Handling of customer specific enquiries or requirements
• Import Consignment tracking and monitoring
• Ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant for customs clearance
• Trouble-shooting issues and delivering practical solutions
• Build strong and lasting relationships with customers and provide second-to-none customer service.

  
Your Experience

• Minimum 1-2 years experience in a similar role in in airfreight import operations
• Relationship-building skills and strong communication abilities
• Exceptional attention to detail, along with analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Prior experience using CargoWise (CW1) is highly regarded
