The Company
My client is rapidly growing Australian FMCG/Retail business that has just expanded it's operations internationally. Due to this growth and expansion they are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join the FP&A team with a strong focus on supporting sales & operations as the brand & global footprint expands. You will play a crucial role in analysing financial/operational data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to drive strategic decision-making.
 
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Finance Head you will play a key part in optimising store-level and group-wide performance. Key responsibilities will include:

• Analyse data from multiple sources, presenting clear insights to support decision-making
• Own and prepare budgets, rolling financial forecasts/latest estimates 
• Develop, maintain, and optimise financial/operational reports and dashboards to meet evolving business needs
• Identify patterns and trends in financial data over time
• Evaluate the profitability of different stores, markets and products
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce expenses without compromising quality or performance
• Identify and assess financial & operational risks
• Preparation of weekly flash P&L and provide key trends/insights for decision-making and action
• Conduct variance analysis to identify key drivers of financial performance and recommend corrective actions
• Prepare monthly/quarterly Board Reports
• Prepare presentations and reports for senior management, providing insights into financial performance and strategic initiatives

Your Ideal Background

• CA/CPA qualification (or in progress) preferred
• Proven 3+ experience in commercial finance or financial analysis
• Experience in partnering multi-site operations - Retail, FMCG ideal
• Advanced Excel and Power BI skills
• Strong financial modelling capability ideally including 3-way modelling
• Ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights
• Exceptional communication skills with a commercial mindset
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach suited to fast-moving environments
