Our partner, a leading global telecommunications provider, is seeking an experienced Network Security Lead to join their team on a fully remote, 12-month contract. In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of the organization’s security posture—designing, implementing, and continuously refining hardening measures and policies across their enterprise infrastructure.
  
Key Responsibilities
Security Architecture & Hardening

• Design and implement security hardening measures for Windows and Linux servers.
• Define baseline configurations and ensure consistent deployment across environments.

  
Policy Development & Enforcement

• Develop, document, and enforce robust security policies for applications, networks, firewalls, and endpoint devices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure policies align with industry best practices (e.g., CIS, NIST, ISO 27001).

  
Continuous Monitoring & Auditing

• Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and configuration reviews.
• Perform log analysis and monitoring to detect anomalies, potential threats, and compliance gaps.

  
Incident Response & Threat Management

• Lead incident response efforts—investigating, containing, and remediating security incidents.
• Develop and maintain incident response playbooks and runbooks.

  
Security Systems Maintenance

• Oversee the maintenance and tuning of IDS/IPS, SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and other security tooling.
• Ensure all security tools are up to date and properly integrated into the security operations workflow.

  
Automation & Integration

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code.
• Leverage Python scripting (and other automation frameworks) to streamline repetitive security tasks and improve incident response time.

  
This is a fully remote 12 month contract to be worked in Europe, please note applicants must be EU National.
