Southern Cross Care Queensland has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join us in the role of Learning & Development Partner - North. This role offers a hybrid working environment with the flexibility of creating your own schedule to deliver learning programs to staff at our Residential Aged Care Homes in Caloundra, Nanango and Murgon.
In this full-time role, as a Learning & Development Partner, you will provide support to Residential, Clinical and Home Care Managers in the planning, development, implementation, evaluation and ongoing administration of learning and organisational development programs. An ability to forge and develop strong relationships with staff and management at homes is integral to this role, as is a passion for delivering exceptional learning programs focused on excellence in consumer directed care.

What are the key responsibilities? Reporting to and supported by the Learning & Organisational Development Manager in the role of the Learning & Development Partner your will:
- Conduct training needs analysis at sites in conjunction with business partners and managers to identify, analyse and prioritise learning and development needs across the organisation in all work streams
- Assist with the preparation and planning of the Organisational Learning Calendar and deliver programs as agreed with stakeholders
- Assist with the development of learning resources
- Deliver and evaluate competency assessments for all clinical skills
- Forge and develop relationships with staff and management at sites, to foster retention and recruitment of clinical, care and ancillary staff
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to deliver learning programs, including site-based resources (Learning Ambassadors) to promote and encourage learning at and across sites
- Assist with the delivery of compliance training and assessments for the Mandatory Training Month
What will you bring to the role? - Tertiary qualification in Nursing
- Current APHRA registration as a Registered Nurse (desirable)
- Current Certificate 4 Training and Assessment (TAE 40116)
- Work experience in the aged care, disability or health sectors and knowledge of accreditation principles and aged care standards
- Demonstrated experience in modelling professional behaviours and delivering adult Learning & Development programs and initiatives, ensuring training is engaging and inspiring
- Ability to plan, prioritise and organise work on an individual and team basis, within a set timeframe and in an environment of change and conflicting demands
- Demonstrated ability in effective written, verbal and digital communication skills, including proven experience in mentoring and educating staff in formal and informal settings (required)
- Capacity to travel between sites with potential for overnight stays
