We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic part-time Domestic Assistant to join our team at our beautiful Duhig Village Residential Aged Care Home in Holland Park. This is a 6-month maternity relief contract.

About the role
In this part-time role, you'll be an integral part of our Domestic team, carrying out general cleaning duties for our residents in line with a schedule and infection control regulations for Aged Care Homes. You'll operate cleaning equipment and utilize effective cleaning techniques ensuring a clean and hygienic environment is provided for our residents. A positive “can-do” attitude is essential for this role, as is the ability to work well in multidisciplinary teams to deliver these essential services to our residents.
Some responsibilities may include but not be limited to:
- Cleaning resident rooms, common areas and bathrooms to the highest standard
- Complete cleaning tasks as per schedules and ensure documentation on completion
- Communication and coordination with other staff regarding cleaning requirements
- Stock control and ordering, and associated record keeping
- Complying with Workplace Health and Safety & Infection Control policies and procedures at all times
What will you bring to the role? - Experience working with commercial cleaning services (desired)
- Experience working in an aged care or health-related facility (desired)
- Understanding of safe use of chemicals and cleaning products
- An enthusiastic attitude and a commitment to working positively in a team
- Compassion and empathy for the elderly
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Flexibility with start time and days (including weekends)
