Southern Cross Care QLD is currently looking for you to join our Southern Cross Care QLD family in the role of a Registered Nurse based at one of our Residential Aged Care Homes in the beautiful Western Downs region of Queensland.
Whether you'd like to join the team at Illoura Village in Chinchilla, our biggest Home in the area, currently undergoing final stages of an exciting new redevelopment or would enjoy the peace and tranquility of a smaller towns like Miles or Tara we have the perfect place for you.
Chinchilla is located less than 2 hours' drive West of Toowoomba or less than 4 hours' drive west of Brisbane in the vibrant Western Downs Region of Queensland. It provides a hub to the surrounding towns including Miles, Tara or Taroom, which are only a short drive away and may also offer opportunities for you to use and extend your nursing skills.

What is the role?
In this role, as a
Registered Nurse you will provide the highest standard in person centred care, sharing your knowledge of best practice in monitoring and assisting in the care of our residents. You will work under the direction of a strong Clinical Manager aligned with contemporary practice, to provide advanced clinical and holistic care to our residents.

What you will bring to the role? - You will be a Registered Nurse with a current AHPRA Registration
- You can be a newly graduated nursing student or new to the Aged Care industry - we welcome all applications, nationalities and experience levels
- You will have a strong clinical focus with the ability to provide a high level of holistic support that best suits the individual
- You are dedicated to caring for older people to live their best lives
- You will work well within a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and outstanding communication skills
- You must hold the right to work in Australia.
Who is Southern Cross Care Queensland?
Southern Cross Care Queensland (SCCQ) is a Catholic not-for-profit organisation established by the Knights of the Southern Cross, more than 40 years ago. They saw a need to provide compassionate care and inclusive service to some of the most vulnerable, the ageing population, in the community.
Since then, SCCQ has grown to employ over 1700 staff caring for and supporting more than 2000 people across 13 residential aged care homes, 5 retirement villages, 28 social houses, the National Disability and Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and home care services in metropolitan and rural Queensland.
