SCCQ are looking for a full-time Registered Nurse to join our highly skilled compassionate care team working at Castra Residential Aged Care in Murgon. 

Based in the beautiful South Burnett Region of Southeast Queensland, Murgon is located one hour drive west of the thriving rural service center of Gympie. Surrounded by picturesque countryside, the friendly township of Murgon provides a wonderful lifestyle opportunity for those who prefer country life whilst still providing easy access to amenities and beautiful beaches.

About the role

In this role, you'll demonstrate expertise in contemporary clinical practice, sharing your knowledge of the highest standards in person centred care through delivery of advanced clinical and holistic care to our residents.

As an integral member of our care team, you will work under the leadership of experienced Managers whilst providing support and supervision to your team members. You will champion a strong teamwork approach to resident’s care and liaise with medical practitioners, family and other multi-disciplinary team members ensuring excellence in personalised care. Most importantly, compassion and empathy accompany your clinical talent, alongside building relationships with our residents based on dignity and respect.

What will you bring to the role?

• You will be a Registered Nurse with a current AHPRA registration.
• Experience in Aged Care and a knowledge of chronic conditions, palliative and dementia care.
• Strong clinical focus in assessing, planning and implementing client care.
• Demonstrated skills in care planning and evaluation documentation.
• Demonstrated competence in medication management and clinical skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• You enjoy working in a team environment.
• You are dedicated to caring for older people to live their best lives.

Southern Cross Care Queensland (SCCQ) is a Catholic not-for-profit organisation established by the Knights of the Southern Cross, more than 40 years ago. They saw a need to provide compassionate care and inclusive service to some of the most vulnerable, the ageing population, in the community.
