Southern Cross Care QLD has an exciting opportunity for a creative and vibrant Lifestyle Coordinator to join the team at our St Anne's Residential Aged Care Home in Broken Hill. In this rewarding role, you will work alongside other members of the care team to create and implement an exceptional Leisure and Health program for our residents.

About the role
Working in this permanent part-time position, you will be a part of a compassionate and dedicated team providing the highest standard of person-centered and holistic care to our residents. You'll actively engage with residents to design and implement individual Diversional Therapy Plans incorporating various Leisure and Lifestyle programs to support, challenge and enhance psychological, social, emotional, spiritual, cognitive and physical wellbeing. A positive “can-do” attitude is essential for this role, as is the ability to work well in multidisciplinary teams to ensure our residents receive the very best in holistic care.
Some of your responsibilities may include:
- Assessment of individual needs and interests for the development and implementation of individual plans
- Trial of new developments and innovative approaches to Leisure & Lifestyle programs
- Continually evaluate resident's plans and incorporate new approaches and strategies as appropriate
- Ensure compliance and accreditation outcomes in relation to the Leisure and Lifestyle program
- Lead the involvement of volunteers and other staff in Leisure & Lifestyle programs
What will you bring to the role? - You will hold a Certificate IV in Leisure & Health or equivalent (desirable)
- Previous experience in a similar role
- You will have an understanding of Aged Care and Residents rights and responsibilities
- You are dedicated to caring for older people to live their best lives
- You will work well within a team environment and have a friendly approachable manner
- Strong attention to detail and outstanding communication skills
