SCCQ are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Team Leader to join our amazing finance team, based at our Support Centre located in Upper Mount Gravatt. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will lead the operational support and management of the Accounts Payable Team and drive Accounts Payable compliance and initiatives across SCCQ.

About the role
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Team Leader to work in this pivotal role and oversee all accounts payable operations, ensuring integrity and efficiency in invoice processing, payments, reconciliations, and supplier management. You'll guide and supervise a dedicated AP team, providing leadership, mentoring, and ongoing development to foster high performance. The ideal candidate will drive continual process improvements, maintain robust internal controls, and uphold compliance standards, playing a key part in delivering accurate, timely financial support across SCCQ.
What will you bring to the role? - Accounts Payable Team Leader experience
- Experience with high level general ledger coding
- Experience in a high-volume data entry role with tight deliverables
- Ability to adapt to new processes and pick-up new systems quickly
- Strong experience with Excel, Word, Adobe and emails
- Computerised accounting systems experience (SAP, Basware, Epicor)
- Excellent communication skills when dealing with both internal and external customers
- Positive attitude towards working well with team members
- Aged Care or another service industry experience
- Willingness to contribute to ongoing process improvement
- Ability to think outside the box and be able to problem solve ad-hoc problems
