SCCQ is seeking a friendly and efficient Health & Wellness Community Centre Administration Officer to provide high quality administrative support at our newly established Health & Wellness Community Centre within Illoura Village in Chinchilla.
Working in this position you will provide support to the Health & Wellness Community Centre Coordinator, to maintain operation of the centre by managing bookings, assisting with enquiries, invoicing and processing payments, and ensuring smooth daily opening/closing of the centre. As the Health & Wellness Community Centre Administration Officer you will be the first point of contact for the centre and as such will provide an environment consistent with our values – to grow communities where best lives are lived.

About the role
Working in this full-time role your duties may include but not be limited to:
- Serving as the primary point of contact at reception, ensuring every client, resident, tenant and visitor receives a warm & personalised welcome.
- Maintaining a visible presence in the reception area, actively engaging with members & fostering a positive atmosphere.
- Answering, screening and directing calls as required.
- Addressing member enquiries and concerns with empathy & efficiency, striving to enhance the overall member experience.
- Opening/closing the premises, arming/disarming alarms and completing daily safety checks.
- Managing the room and class booking system (GPs, allied health, visiting specialists/tenants; physio gyms; group programs).
- Issuing of invoices as required.
- Processing of payments and reconciling EOD takings.
- Provider support: Onboarding tenants (keys/IT/ID/induction); preparation of rooms and equipment.
- Providing operational support to the Centre Coordinator to ensure smooth daily operations & address any issues that arise promptly.
- Maintaining confidentiality; supporting incident logging and WHS routines.
- At all times demonstrating commitment to Workplace Health and Safety.
What will you bring to the role: - Previous experience in a busy multidisciplinary team environment including medical practice, allied health clinic, aged care, or wellness centre preferred.
- Confidence with using booking systems and MS365.
- Familiarity with Medicare billing and health fund processes (desirable).
- Ability to communicate professionally, positively, and with attention to detail - particularly around phone demeanour, back of house conversations.
- Applying a flexible, solutions-focused, and empathetic approach.
- Ability to promote SCCQ to the community
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
