Southern Cross Care has an exciting opportunity for Casual Personal Carers to join the care team at our Duhig Village Residential Aged Care Home in Holland Park, with availability required across afternoon and night shifts.

Working under the direction of the Enrolled & Registered Nurses, as a Personal Carer you will be providing person-centred, high-quality care to our residents. You will demonstrate compassion, sensitivity and maturity to provide personal care to our residents, including bathing, dressing, toileting and other support services depending on the individual resident's needs.

What will you bring to the role?

• You will hold a Certificate III in Aged Care (or equivalent).
• Medication Assist Competency (desirable).
• You will have an understanding of Aged Care and Residents rights and responsibilities.
• You are dedicated to caring for older people to live their best lives.
• You will work well within a team environment and have a friendly approachable manner.
• Strong attention to detail and outstanding communication skills.
• You must be available to work afternoon and night shifts.

Southern Cross Care Queensland (SCCQ) is a Catholic not-for-profit organisation established by the Knights of the Southern Cross, more than 40 years ago. They saw a need to provide compassionate care and inclusive service to some of the most vulnerable, the ageing population, in the community.
