Southern Cross Care QLD is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our SCCQ family based at Castra Residential Aged Care Home, in Murgon. This is a full-time position.
Based in the beautiful South Burnett Region of Southeast Queensland, Murgon is located one hour drive west of the thriving rural service center of Gympie. Surrounded by picturesque countryside, the friendly township of Murgon provides a wonderful lifestyle opportunity for those who prefer country life whilst still providing easy access to amenities and the coast

About the role
In this role you will join a team of highly skilled compassionate Registered Nurses in providing excellence in clinical care for our residents. You will work under the leadership of an experienced Clinical Manager to deliver advanced clinical and holistic care to our residents. Providing support and supervision to your team members, you will champion a strong teamwork approach to resident’s care. You will liaise with medical practitioners, family and other multi-disciplinary team members ensuring excellence in personalised care. Most importantly, compassion and empathy accompany your clinical talent, alongside building relationships with our residents based on dignity and respect.
What will you bring to the role?
- You will be a Registered Nurse with a current AHPRA Registration
- You can be a newly graduated nursing student or new to the Aged Care industry - we welcome all applications, nationalities and experience levels
- You will have a strong clinical focus with the ability to provide a high level of holistic support that best suits the individual
- You are dedicated to caring for older people to live their best lives
- You will work well within a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and outstanding communication skills
- You must hold the right to work in Australia

Southern Cross Care Queensland (SCCQ) is a Catholic not-for-profit organisation established by the Knights of the Southern Cross, more than 40 years ago. They saw a need to provide compassionate care and inclusive service to some of the most vulnerable, the ageing population, in the community.
