Role Description:
We’re looking for a Project Controls Officer/PMO Officer to provide operational rigour to a multibillion-dollar program of construction works.
This position can be based in any of our office locations around Australia, including Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Mackay, Townsville or Perth.
As a Project Controls Officer at RPI, you’ll be responsible for:
- Providing essential support to Project staff, by overseeing robust planning, cost control and governance frameworks – ensuring adherence to company PMO standards and construction frameworks.
- Assisting the Project team to maintain schedule integrity, budgets and risk management.
- Maintaining accurate documentation, risk registers and compliance records.
- Providing regular reports to the Project team and stakeholders, consolidating data for portfolio-level reporting across multiple construction projects.
- Supporting cost tracking, financial forecasting and cashflow projections.
- Coordinating with site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers for progress updates.
Candidate Profile
To be successful in this role, you’ll need demonstrated experience working as a Project Controls Officer, or in a complex PMO framework.
You’ll also need: - The ability to capture complex data and transform it into meaningful communications to stakeholders.
- The ability to analyse numbers, understand project schedules, and manage cost control responsibilities.
- Strong written skills, with an ability to prepare change management reports and/or briefing papers.
- Experience updating construction schedules with tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- High attention to detail and a customer-focused mindset – to deliver outstanding outcomes for clients.
- Experience/qualifications in Finance, Scheduling, Engineering, or other related fields will be highly advantageous to this role.
