Role Description
We’re looking for an Associate Director to oversee the end-to-end delivery of new build, refurbishment, and redevelopment projects across our Aviation Sector. This includes both landside and airside projects.
Located in our Melbourne Airport office, you’ll be responsible for delivering a range of major building and civil projects.
You’ll also have team leadership responsibilities, and will oversee:
- The management of PMs and SPMs, including project performance and client engagement.
- The end-to-end delivery of building and infrastructure projects.
- Fostering relationships with key stakeholders and clients, and/or winning work.
- Engaging with contractors and consultants, including managing the construction process in complex, live environments.
- Overseeing contract management, variations and claims.
Candidate Profile To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally have demonstrated experience as a Project Director, Associate Director, or similar role in the Aviation (Airport) sector.
This could include working for an Airport itself, a Consultancy or a Contactor that services the Aviation sector.
If your experience is not from the Aviation Sector, then Ports, Health, Retail or other similarly complex sectors would also be considered.
You’ll also need:
- Strong communication skills and an ability to build rapport with clients, team members and stakeholders.
- The ability to manage up and down – leading your team of direct reports, as well as updating the Director, Executive Director and ELT as appropriate.
- High attention to detail with a customer-focused mindset. Relationship building is crucial in this role.
- A willingness to grow the team and support the Director, whilst delivering outstanding outcomes for clients.
- A desire to contribute to the overall growth of the business.
- Qualifications in Project Management, Construction, Architecture, Building, Design, Engineering or related discipline.
