Role Description
Are you an Assistant Accountant or Bookkeeper looking for the next step up in your career? Or perhaps you’ve been working in an AR/AP role for a few years, and now you want to move into a specialist role? If so, this could be the exciting opportunity you’ve been waiting for!
RP Infrastructure are on the lookout for a talented and motivated individual to join the Finance team and assist the business in its next phase of growth. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the management of a portfolio of diverse projects across our VIC division and providing trusted information to the Finance team and Senior stakeholders.
This role is split between our offices located in Melbourne CBD and Melbourne Airport, with a hybrid WFH/in office agreement. Ideally, each week you will work 2 days in our CBD office, 1 day in our Airport office, and 2 days from home.
You will be responsible for:
- Accurate invoicing and accounts receivable management
- Assisting with the management of project budgets and forecasting
- Managing contractors and other minor accounts payable duties
- Timesheet management
- Assisting with the financial analysis of project performance
- Weekly client reporting
- Assisting the finance team with their needs and other ad hoc duties as required
Candidate Profile To be successful in your application, you’ll need a few years of demonstrated experience. Ideally you will come from either an Assistant Accountant role, or you will have spent the past few years as a Bookkeeper or AR/AP.
Applicants from Construction, Property, Project Management, Engineering, Real Estate or other related service-based industries will be highly regarded.
You will also need: - Proven experience in managing competing workloads and the ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment – things can move quickly in our business, so grit, resilience and determination are traits that will ensure your success
- An all-rounder who can assist the team with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport, trust, and drive change as required with Senior stakeholders
- A high level of attention to detail and time management skills
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Experience with Power BI, SQL and/or BST would also be advantageous (but is not essential)
