Role Description We’re looking for a Director to lead, manage and grow RPI’s Industrial & Commercial practice in Queensland.
Our Industrial sector plays a critical role in contributing to RPI’s Year on Year growth, and you’ll spend your time between project delivery and business development pursuits.
Working as part of RPI’s National Leadership group, you’ll be responsible for delivering projects worth circa $1.8bn, as well as expanding our current pipeline of work.
Located in our
Brisbane office, you’ll be responsible for:
- Project Delivery: oversee the end-to-end delivery of Commercial and Industrial projects, including site acquisition, design management, procurement, construction and automation delivery.
- Business Development: maintain, develop, and grow client revenue streams. This includes securing new clients and increasing the percentage of repeat business, to contribute to Profit, Revenue and Utilization targets.
- Client Service Delivery: lead staff performance and service-delivery standards across the sector. You’ll need to be deeply connected to the projects and clients, in order to drive high-performance and accountability.
- People Management: maintain an engaged workforce, ensuring all staff’s Professional Development Plans and reviews are in place to foster growth/development opportunities. This includes future Workforce Planning and Succession Planning activities.
- Advocacy: attend and participate in industry/company events, acting as a brand ambassador and company advocate.
Candidate Profile – Who Is This Role For? To be successful in this role, you’ll need demonstrated experience leading and growing a business unit.
You could have experience either within the
Commercial or Industrial sectors globally (in any region),
OR experience with
any private sector market in Brisbane.
The successful candidate may be an established Project Director, Associate Director, Director, or hold a similar role within a Project Management Consultancy, Contractor or Developer.
You’ll also need:
- Proven experience in business development pursuits, with a track record of winning new work and maintaining a diverse/viable portfolio of projects.
- Strong industry networks and relationships in the Brisbane market – if you’re not a Commercial and/or Industrial expert from another market, then you’ll need relationships in Brisbane with Contractors, Consultants, Real Estate Agents or other related stakeholders.
- A passion for delivering world-class, highly complex construction projects.
- A keen focus on elevating staff performance, in order to create better project outcomes for clients.
- A proactive, ambitious and enthusiastic approach, to drive sustainable business growth.
- Qualifications in Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or related discipline.
