About the role:
We’re looking for a motivated and hands on Telecommunications Rigger to install, service and maintain Telecommunications systems to our customers in the Albury/ Wodonga region as part of our Managed Services team.
You may be an experienced Telco Rigger looking for a flexible workplace where you can work autonomously, or you may want to make a new career and move in to this industry!
Either way we will invest in training and development for you to get/maintain all the tickets and training you need to grow your career.
What you can expect on an average day:
- A variety of work and dynamic experiences
- Install, service and maintain key telecommunications networks for our client base, including Radio Access Network (RAN), Transmission, facilities and more
- Diagnose faults and follow a process to fix breakdowns, including BTS, Microwave, Hybrid DC/Fibre, Antenna Systems, DC rectification, PLC, Cooling
- Identify, report and resolve hazards to the networks
- Be available on a rotating roster for emergency call-outs
- Ensure compliance with all safety requirements
Skills we are looking for/Your core talents: In addition to being a self starter with great communication skills, you are organised enjoy being hands on and are a great problem-solver with:
- Experience as a Rigger in communications industry (desirable but not a must)
- Ability to work autonomously or in a small team
- A quick learner
- Have strong IT skills
- Have strong attention to detail
- Fit to climb and can work at heights
Areas we will train you in, if you’re not already qualified: - General industry OHS Induction / White card
- Work at Heights and Tower Rescue
- Relevant High Risk Work License (Min RB, DG, WP)
- Radiation Hazard awareness (Radhaz)
- First Aid Certificate
- CPR Certificate
- ACMA Open Cabler
