Total HRM has partnered with OTTICO Equipment, creators of SPITWATER, to find their next Training, Development & Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Lead.
Every SPITWATER machine that leaves the OTTICO Equipment Albury factory carries four decades of “built tough” behind it — this role is about making sure the people building it are just as well trained and just as safe.

This isn't a desk-bound compliance role. You'll be on the factory floor, in the workshop, and in conversation with managers who want practical, straight-talking safety advice — not another policy nobody reads.

About the Role

• Split your time between the Albury factory floor and the desk — running workplace inspections, coaching managers, and getting hands-on with training content.
• Own the Learning Management System end-to-end: building and updating courses, allocating training, chasing overdue modules and reporting on compliance.
• Work alongside managers and technicians to write SOPs and safe work procedures that people actually use.
• Travel occasionally to SPITWATER Service Centres across NSW, QLD and VIC, staying on top of the different WHS requirements in each state.
• Report into People & Culture, with direct input into the safety strategy and business plan for both companies.

Skills We're Looking For / Your Core Talents

• Formal WHS qualification (Certificate IV or Diploma) or equivalent hands-on experience
• Solid, practical knowledge of WHS legislation and risk-management principles
• Experience administering an LMS — content, compliance monitoring and reporting
• Confidence coaching and influencing managers and frontline teams
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing or industrial environment

OTTICO Equipment is the Albury factory behind SPITWATER — the SPITWATER pressure cleaners, JETFIRE heaters and VACSTORM vacuums that Aussie tradies, farmers and factories have trusted since 1982. It started when Giancarlo and Maresa Martinotti, fresh from Italy, decided Australian industry needed cleaning equipment as tough as the conditions it worked in — so they built it themselves, right here in Albury.
