Primary Objective:
To find and close sales on all of the company's products on all types of construction projects through existing and new customers.

Key Responsibilities:
• Pursue project specifications, quotes or inquiries from various customers with the aim of closing orders for the client's construction products on that particular project or line of inquiry.
• To exceed monthly and yearly sales budgets.
• To exceed budgeted profit margins on all product groups.
• Obtain a sound working knowledge of the client's construction products and pass that knowledge effectively onto our customers.
• Utilise and maintain all aspects of the Sales Management System (SMS) including Customer Record Cards (CRC), Quote (QUO), Advance Project Identification (API) and Project Development Information (PDI) forms.
• Maximise the client's exposure to our customer base to increase product awareness.
• Utilise the resources provided by Business Development Representatives to maximise all
opportunities for sales on project leads.
• Seek new business opportunities that generate more sales from existing or new customers.
• Review various lead sources for the client's construction products.
• Employ the use of Technical Services to secure or alter specifications to the company's advantage.
• Follow all quotes linked and unlinked to existing projects and convert them into sales while recording
notes of the outcome of each quote.
• Follow up with project principles to determine when a design or construction contract has been
awarded.
• When a contract has been awarded, obtain the relevant contractors details to pursue potential
opportunities.
• Follow up opportunities via the contractor by confirming the right contacts have been quoted and
offer any assistance they may need.
• Follow up periodically with project design principles and provide phone assistance in an effort to maximize potential opportunities for the client's construction products by using total product identification.
• Assist the National Sales Manager with monthly sales forecasts.
• Send prepared quotations and follow to determine all customers understand the quotation by actively closing the sale.
KPIS:
•Ensure that all quotes are followed up by phone within 24 hours and if possible converted to an order.
• Convert at least 2 APIs to PDIs (qualified/quantified projects)
• 4 new PDIs per week
• 2 new contacts per week
