UP Recruitment has partnered with a leading New Zealand-owned project management consultancy seeking to appoint a Project Manager to support a strong pipeline of industrial projects kicking off in early 2026.

These are confirmed industrial sector projects for large private clients, including processing facilities, factories, warehouses, utilities and services-heavy environments. Projects range from $500k to $50M+ and include new builds, refurbishments, extensions, and major mechanical and electrical upgrades, often delivered within live operational sites.

This role is based permanently in Auckland, with some occasional travel outside of the region at times to see clients and oversee major works.

The Role:

• Work within an experienced project management team delivering industrial construction projects 
• Manage projects end-to-end, from early planning and site assessment through to construction and handover
• Deliver live operational projects, including plant upgrades, services installations, refurbishments and site expansions
• Coordinate consultants, contractors and specialist trades (including mechanical and electrical)
• Own contract administration under NZS 3910 / 3916, including variations, claims and risk management
• Manage procurement, programmes, budgets, reporting and cost control
• Proactively identify and manage project risks in complex industrial environments

About You:

• 3-6+ years' New Zealand experience in construction project management (consultancy or client-side)
• Experience delivering industrial, manufacturing, logistics, processing or services-heavy projects
• Strong capability in contract administration, programming and scheduling
• Proven ability to manage live sites and multiple stakeholders
• Tertiary qualification in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Industrial / Chemical Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or Property
• Confident communicator with strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Proactive, commercially aware and comfortable operating in complex environments
