UP Recruitment has partnered with a well-established PM consultancy in Auckland that is now looking to hire a strong Intermediate to Senior Project Manager for confirmed projects in 2026.

Projects include complex new builds, refurbishments, and expansions across the Education, Healthcare, Industrial, and Commercial sectors, with values ranging from $5M to $50M.

What are we looking for?

• 8-10+ years of experience as a Project Manager in a consultancy or client-side environment
• A technically sound Project Manager who can take ownership of complex projects and deliver for clients from inception through to completion
• Prior experience mentoring junior staff, graduates or project teams
• Excellent client relationship-building skills
• Someone with a strong eye for risk to ensure successful outcomes
• Strong contract administration experience (NZ3910 / 3916)
• Great soft skills are required to get the best out of people

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex projects from $5M–$50M+ with a focus on technical excellence and client satisfaction
• Provide direction, guidance and pastoral care to project teams
• Oversee contract administration, procurement, and programme reviews
• Manage budgets, invoicing, claims, and negotiations
• Identify project risks early and apply sound judgement to resolve them
