About the position:
We have an exciting position available for an Operations Data Officer who will be the backbone of our on-site operations and provide administrative support to all areas of our Timber Mill. This is a Permanent full-time position working Monday to Friday based at Herons Creek, 30 mins north of Taree, 30 mins south of Port Macquarie.
As an Operations Data Officer, you’ll play a vital role as part of the team that provides administrative operational support, with a special focus on safety management, production and maintenance. Your key duties will include accurate data entry, safety reporting, contractor management, purchasing processes, and generating reports for managers. You’ll also have the opportunity to showcase your organisational skills by handling a wide variety of administrative tasks including our end of month processes.
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses exceptional attention to detail and has a knack for juggling multiple responsibilities. Proficiency in data entry, purchasing systems, and report generation will be crucial for success in this role.
Your primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Working as part of a team to provide effective, efficient, timely and accurate administrative services.
- Front-line representative, greeting visitors in a warm and professional manner.
- Managing phone calls, emails and correspondence from internal and external stakeholders with professionalism and efficiency.
- Ensuring the timely and accurate creation and maintenance of records and data on safety and production systems.
- Assisting with site purchasing, including purchase orders and receipt, as well as managing the procurement of office supplies and personal protective equipment.
- Preparing and formatting documents and reports as required.
- Coordinating meetings, medical bookings and other relevant appointments.
To be successful in this role you will have: - A proven track record of success in an administration role.
- Previous experience in manufacturing or an industrial setting is advantageous.
- Experience with and competency in Microsoft Office 365 is essential.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively address inquiries.
- Attentive, Friendly and professional demeanour at all times.
- Knowledge of purchasing systems is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Organisation, prioritisation, and time management skills.
- Proven high attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
