About the Position
We are seeking a full time Trades Assistant to join our Maintenance Team at our Eden site. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role will see you working closely with the Maintenance Fitters and although qualifications are not required for this role, if you have worked as a Trades Assistant previously or have experience with tools and equipment, then this is the job for you.
You might be at the start of your career or just looking for a change – either way, you must be willing to learn. Work will include maintenance and lubrication work, fire watch and assisting with the high risk, preventative maintenance and corrective work.
This is a Permanent Full-Time position working in a supportive team who are willing to train an individual if required. This position will work weekly rotating morning and afternoon shifts Monday to Friday. With either 6am or 2pm start times.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Some knowledge and experience with tools or in a similar trades assistant role is beneficial.
Previous experience in the timber industry is highly advantageous.
A positive attitude and willingness to work in a team.
A desire to learn and develop skills and expertise in a manufacturing environment
Good time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks.
A commitment to safety and workplace standards
