About the Position

We are seeking a qualified Permanent Full Time Sandblasting & Painting Technician who is looking for a new challenge within a growing company. You will report into our Maintenance Supervisor and will be responsible for the use of Sandblasting and Painting equipment to maintain our Wharf Structure & Ship loading systems. In addition you will conduct general tasks related to sandblasting and painting for all key assets on site.

To be successful in this role you will be self-motivated, with a high level of attention to detail. This is a Monday to Friday day shift position. We are offering a competitive hourly rate of $43.47 + Super.

We are willing to contribute to relocation costs for the right candidate.  

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Experience in Sandblasting and a knowledge of the equipment used in this process is essential.
• a Certificate III in Surface Preparation and Coating Application is highly advantageous.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety issues and a high regard for employee safety.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with key stakeholders.
• Self-motivated with drive and commitment to complete work to a high standard.
• Willingness to adapt to changes for continuous improvement in processes.
