We have partnered with a nationally recognized modular homebuilding company in Maryville, TN who is seeking a Temporary HR Generalist to support the Home Office HR team with reporting, coordination, employee support, and organizational development initiatives. This role is ideal for an early‑career HR professional looking to deepen their experience in HR operations, analytics, and internal stakeholder communication. The HR Generalist will work closely with HR leadership and senior executives, ensuring the HR function stays organized, compliant, and running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Reporting & Analytics
- Produce monthly HRIS reports, dashboards, and people‑data summaries for Sean and executive leadership.
- Maintain accuracy of HR data, audit for compliance, and support ongoing reporting needs.
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations for HRBP meetings, executive updates, and organizational development sessions.
HR Operations & Administration - Manage the tuition reimbursement program, including receipt collection, verification, and coordination with Accounts Payable.
- Reconcile team payment card transactions and maintain documentation for internal controls.
- Serve as a liaison for FMLA, coordinating between employees and the benefits team.
- Support compliance audits, documentation reviews, and policy adherence.
Employee & Team Support - Provide internal communication support for Sean, including handling inquiries, drafting responses, and coordinating follow‑ups.
- Support Home Office team members with HR questions, processes, and general assistance.
- Participate in the weekly HRBP meeting with Sean's direct reports; assist with agenda prep, notes, and follow‑up actions.
Organizational & Leadership Development - Assist with compensation review cycles, data pulls, and documentation.
- Help run organizational development programs, leadership development initiatives, and internal training coordination.
- Keep the HR team organized, on‑task, and aligned through scheduling, tracking deliverables, and internal coordination.
Qualifications - 2-5 years of HR experience (generalist, coordinator, or HR operations background ideal).
- Strong HRIS reporting skills; experience with people‑data analytics preferred.
- Advanced PowerPoint skills; ability to build clean, executive‑ready presentations.
- Strong communication skills and comfort interacting with internal stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, stay organized, and maintain confidentiality.
- Experience with FMLA, compliance audits, or compensation processes is a plus.
