We have partnered with a growing medical device manufacturer in Buffalo, NY looking to add a Manufacturing Engineer with a strong background in Process Optimization and Advanced Manufacturing to their team! This role is ideal for an engineer who excels in process design, quality assurance, and data-driven problem solving. The successful employee in this role will play a key role in optimizing production processes, supporting new technology integration, and ensuring products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
Full Time, Onsite, Direct Hire
Pay: Up to $95k depending on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert for multiple equipment platforms, supporting troubleshooting, optimization, and new equipment onboarding.
- Utilize advanced data analysis to identify trends, improve processes, and enhance product quality and profitability.
- Design, document, and optimize complex manufacturing processes with a focus on efficiency, repeatability, and compliance.
- Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions for high-impact production issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Tapecon's operational and quality goals.
- Support innovation and digital transformation efforts, including new equipment, software, and technology adoption.
- Lead customer-driven development projects, ensuring requirements are met and expectations exceeded.
- Independently manage complex engineering projects, ensuring milestones, documentation, and deliverables are completed on schedule.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field; Master's preferred.
- 2-5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of quality systems, ISO/FDA requirements, and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
- Excellent communication, project management, and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with engineering software tools and ability to train others.
