We have recently partnered with a growing manufacturing company in Buffalo, NY, which is hiring for Machine Set Up Technicians!
The successful employee in this role will be responsible for the installation and removal of parts relevant to an injection molding process. Employees in this role are also responsible for performing troubleshooting and molding machine start-ups to prescribed production standards.
This is an onsite/full-time/permanent position
Hourly range based on experience: $20-$27/HR
Shifts Available:
- 12-hour days - rotating weekends
- 12-hour nights - rotating weekends
- 2nd shift M-F
- 3rd shift M-F
Key Job Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned during production runs by following the first piece inspection procedure on all new start-ups. Responsible for troubleshooting machine problems as identified by the machine inspector/operator and adjusting machine parameters.
- Responsible for the safe and efficient installation and removal of full molds and plates in the injection molding machinery.
- Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of molding machinery, electronic scales, and various measuring instruments.
- Responsible for visual and dimensional inspection of parts and updating logs to ensure the quality of the finished product.
- Responsible for various process improvement procedures including purging cylinders, reheating machines, and eliminating scrap.
- Responsible for repairing mold water leaks and inspecting mold electrical connections to ensure proper function and safe operation.
- Occasionally required to run Molding Experimental Orders and distribute product samples per instructions.
- Maintain accurate daily shift change logs.
- Responsible for productivity and efficiency of molding production by maintaining proper machine cycle, part containment, and cavitation.
- Responsible for entering Mattec data, including startup scrap and downtime.
- Originate, support, and maintain all 5S activities throughout the molding floor.
- Responsible for filling in as a molding operator and a material handler, performing any other capable and reasonable function at the request of supervision.
Required Skills: - Minimum 1 year of Manufacturing Experience
- Experience with Injection Molding will be REQUIRED for this opportunity.
- High School Diploma or GED
