Our client, a well-established manufacturer serving highly regulated industries, is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their growing Quality team.
This is an on-site/full-time/direct-hire position
Salary based on experience: Up to $77k
The Quality Engineer will play a key role in maintaining and improving the company's Quality Management System while supporting production, engineering, and inspection teams. This individual will analyze quality data, lead investigations into product and process issues, perform internal audits, and drive corrective actions that improve product quality and manufacturing performance.

Responsibilities
- Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Conduct internal quality audits and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 standards.
- Lead root cause investigations and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Perform First Article Inspections (FAIs) and support inspection activities.
- Analyze quality metrics and manufacturing data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Review nonconforming material and participate in Material Review Board (MRB) activities.
- Support engineering during design reviews and new product introductions.
- Develop, revise, and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, and documentation.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Operations to improve product quality, reduce defects, and increase efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance to inspection personnel when needed.
Required Experience - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred.
- Minimum of five years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar quality management systems.
- Experience conducting internal audits and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Working knowledge of GD&T and blueprint interpretation.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and assembly documentation.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience - Aerospace, electronics, or precision manufacturing experience.
- Root Cause Analysis (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, etc.).
- First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation.
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.
- Continuous Improvement and statistical analysis.
- Supplier quality or process improvement experience.
