Our client, a growing aerospace and advanced manufacturing company in the Buffalo area, is looking to add an experienced Quality Inspector II to their quality team.

This is an on-site/full-time/direct-hire position
Salary based on experience: Up to $56k

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong manufacturing inspection background who enjoys working in a precision-driven environment where quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement are top priorities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on components and finished products.
Inspect machined parts, welded assemblies, soldered components, and completed products to ensure compliance with engineering specifications.
Interpret mechanical drawings, electrical diagrams, and customer requirements.
Utilize precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, optical comparators, and other inspection equipment.
Complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and maintain accurate inspection documentation.
Generate Material Review Reports (MRRs) and identify non-conforming materials.
Review production documentation for accuracy before product release.
Enter inspection results into the company's ERP system.
Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
Support audits and maintain compliance with customer and industry quality standards.

Required Experience:

Associate degree or at least five years of manufacturing experience in a quality inspection environment.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and electrical assembly documentation.
Experience using precision measuring tools and inspection equipment.
Familiarity with First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation.
Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and AWS inspection standards is highly desirable.
Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation skills.
Comfortable working with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
Experience in aerospace, defense, electronics, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments is a plus.

Continuous improvement and quality systems knowledge
