Our client, an Architecture/Engineering firm in Rochester, NY, is looking for a Field Service Technician to join their team!
 
This is an onsite/full-time/direct-hire position
Salary based on experience: Up to $80k
 
Responsibilities:

• In charge of field survey activities, including:
• Understanding and executing the scope of work for each assignment
• Providing direction and oversight of the instrument operator.
• Ensuring proper field techniques and quality checks are taking place.
• Ensuring proper safety measures are being followed.
• Provide a debriefing to senior office staff after the completion of the assignment.
• Field reconnaissance of property evidence.
• Thorough understanding of the operation of total stations and GNSS equipment.

Qualifications:

• Party Chief: 5+ years' experience in land surveying
• A Valid Driver's License and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) are required.
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Land Surveying, a plus
• Experience with NYSDOT survey procedures is a plus
• Experience with Trimble robotics is a plus
• Experience with Leica GNSS is a plus
• Experience with terrestrial LiDAR is a plus
• Experience with sUAS is a plus
• Ability to perform physical work (i.e., strenuous walking, bending, lifting to 50 pounds, carrying / loading equipment, etc.)
