Our client in Buffalo, NY, is seeking a Systems Administrator to join their team!
This is an on-site/full-time/permanent position
Salary range based on experience: Up to $105k
Job description: As the Systems Administrator, you will oversee all aspects of the technology infrastructure, ensuring secure, efficient, and innovative operations. You will manage systems, networks, and applications while driving strategic technology initiatives. Responsibilities: - Manage and maintain the infrastructure, systems, and networks.
- Develop and implement IT strategies that align with business objectives and industry best practices.
- Oversee installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance of software and hardware.
- Provide peripheral support for printers, scanners, and related devices.
- Manage vendor relationships, evaluate solutions, and negotiate technology-related contracts.
- Monitor emerging IT trends and recommend tools to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proficiency in managing virtual server environments (Microsoft Hyper-V).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, including Users & Computers, Sites & Services, Domains & Trusts, Group Policy, and DHCP.
- Networking fundamentals: LAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of PC hardware/software, imaging, deployment, and diagnostics.
- Experience in LAN cabling, patch management, and desktop security (anti-virus, OS patching).
