Our client in Buffalo, NY, is hiring a Sales Analyst to join their team!
This is an on-site/full-time/direct-hire position
Salary Range based on experience: $60k-$100k
Overview
The Sales Analyst plays a pivotal role in driving data-backed decision-making across the sales organization. This individual is responsible for monitoring key sales metrics, ensuring quote and order accuracy, supporting efficient processes, and identifying opportunities to optimize sales performance through insights and automation.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Operations Analysis
- Analyze quotes and order turnaround times to identify bottlenecks and efficiency improvements. - Maintain and monitor the Commercial Open Order Report and Open RA Report, ensuring data accuracy and timely updates. - Generate regular performance dashboards highlighting trends in order fulfillment, responsiveness, and customer satisfaction.
Process and Performance Optimization - Evaluate sales processes (quote creation, order processing, and fulfillment tracking) to identify areas that could be streamlined through automation or AI-assisted tools. - Support process documentation and continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Sales Order Tracking, Finisher Purchase Order, Return Authorization, and Freight Scheduling Coordination). - Collaborate with internal teams to enhance rep efficiency and reduce turnaround time.
Customer and Product Insights - Analyze customer inquiry patterns and fulfillment performance to inform sales strategies and improve service delivery. - Provide data-driven recommendations for cross-selling and product bundling opportunities. - Track post-fulfillment order issues and identify recurring pain points for proactive resolution.
Reporting & Communication - Deliver regular reports and visual summaries to sales leadership, highlighting performance metrics, trend deviations, and actionable insights. - Partner with sales representatives to translate data findings into practical field strategies. - Participate in 1:1 discussions to assess workflow bottlenecks, client issues, and collateral needs.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) - Quote and order turnaround time - Order accuracy rate - Customer inquiry response time - Fulfillment and logistics efficiency - Accuracy and timeliness of reports
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, or related field - 2+ years of experience in sales operations, data analysis, or related role - Proficiency in CRM and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, HubSpot) - Strong analytical and Excel skills; experience with BI tools is a plus - Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Training and Development - Systems and product training (NS/HS platforms) - Quote management and logistics systems (e.g., FedEx, Freightquote) - Ongoing analytics and process improvement workshops
