JMS Staffing has partnered with a nationally recognized builder of high-quality homes and components, in search of a Quality Manager to join their growing team.
This is a full-time, onsite, direct-hire position in Dorchester, Wisconsin
Salary based on experience: $90-$100k total compensation
As the Quality Manager, you will oversee the entire QC process at the plant level—ensuring compliance with HUD regulations, engineering standards, and internal quality benchmarks. You'll lead a team of quality control professionals, set performance standards, and work closely with production, engineering, and leadership teams to resolve issues, improve processes, and deliver safe, high-quality homes.
Duties and Responsibilities - Oversee all quality control operations and HUD regulatory programs across the plant.
- Ensure all homes meet quality standards, are damage-free, and comply with HUD codes before release.
- Lead, hire, and develop a team of QC professionals; manage training, performance, and growth.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and root cause analysis to identify and resolve recurring issues.
- Partner with engineering and production leaders to improve processes and provide missing documentation or guidance when needed.
- Collaborate with service teams to address customer-reported issues on sold units.
- Maintain safety standards and foster a clean, organized work environment.
- Provide detailed documentation of inspections and performance outcomes.
Qualifications - High school diploma required; advanced technical or trade education a plus.
- Substantial experience in manufacturing or construction quality control; manufactured housing experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, HUD regulations, construction standards, and inspection practices.
- Experience leading teams, coaching employees, and building cross-functional relationships.
- Physically capable of lifting 40+ lbs and performing production-related tasks as needed.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

- Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
- Ability to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
