Our customer in Western New York is seeking a skilled CNC Mill Machinist to join their team!
This is an on-site/ full-time/permanent position
Hourly based on experience: $22-$30/hr
The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of milling machines to produce precision parts and instruments. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines to perform precision machining operations.
- Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine the dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces.
- Select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in the preparation of machinery work.
- Verify dimensions of machined workpieces using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust as necessary.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment.
- Ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are followed at all times.
- Collaborate with engineers and other personnel to resolve machining or quality issues.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Mill Machinist or similar role.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Knowledge of machining principles, tooling, and materials.
- Experience with CNC programming and operation.
- Ability to operate a variety of precision measuring instruments.
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
