Our client in Hillsboro, TX, is looking for a Production Manager to join their growing team!
This is an onsite/full-time/permanent position. Salary based on experience: Up to $90k Bonus
Position Summary: The PM is responsible for supervising all phases of the homebuilding process, working directly with the Design and Operations Teams.
Duties / Responsibilities:
Ability to lead large groups of people and focus on developing a culture of accountability, working as a team
Strict adherence and compliance with quality assurance requirements to include HUD building codes
Be safety-minded and be able to put Safety 1st – must adhere to strict safety rules and guidelines
Reviewing production performance and identifying training opportunities for production personnel as necessary
Direct teams effectively in each department to ensure timelines and production priorities are met
Provide sound leadership, coaching, mentoring, and direction for personnel development and employee engagement
Improve production processes to improve overall quality, reduce lead times, and lowering costs of operations by utilizing Lean Manufacturing methods, 6S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, Total Quality Management, etc., applications, where necessary
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
Minimum 5 years of relevant management experience
Previous construction experience strongly preferred
Experience in manufactured housing is greatly desired
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
Microsoft Word, Excel, as well as basic math skills
Must be detail-oriented and can multitask effectively
Ability to read and understand home-building specifications is greatly desired
Demonstrated adherence to safety protocols
Ability to adapt quickly and make sound decisions in a changing, fast-paced work environment
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Work may require stooping, bending, crouching, crawling, pushing, and/or pulling.
Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person. Must be able to exchange accurate information with others.
Work environment is not temperature-controlled and may result in exposure to extreme temperatures.
Work primarily involves sitting/standing, up to 4 hours at a time.
