Our client in Vista, California, is seeking a SAP Supply Chain Solution Architect to join their team!
This is a remote/full-time/contract position with monthly travel to California
Hourly based on experience: Up to $35/HR
POSITION SUMMARY
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing SAP Procure-to-Pay (PTP) and Plant-to-Manufacture (PTM) solutions that integrate procurement, supply chain, and production processes across the enterprise. Leveraging SAP S/4HANA and modern integration technologies, you will architect scalable solutions
that enhance operational efficiency, supplier collaboration, and manufacturing execution. You will work closely
with cross-functional teams—including Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, IT, and external partners—to
gather requirements, design end-to-end process flows, and ensure successful deployments across global CPG
operations. This high-impact role demands both deep technical expertise and strong business acumen to align
technology with business goals. The position reports to the DevOps Manager and plays a key role in driving digital
transformation across core supply chain functions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Solution Design and Architecture - Architect end-to-end SAP solutions spanning Procure-to-Pay and Plant-to-Production- Make business processes, translating business requirements into scalable technical frameworks that adhere to industry standards. Create comprehensive technical blueprints, system integration strategies,
and enterprise landscape designs for large-scale implementations. Drive the assessment and selection of
appropriate SAP modules, complementary solutions, and external system integrations to achieve strategic
business goals. Transform business needs into expandable technical blueprints and operational
specifications that guide development teams and implementation partners through successful delivery. - Business Process Optimization - Conduct a thorough analysis of existing business processes to identify
optimization opportunities across the Procure-to-Pay and Plan-to-Make value chains. Design future state
processes that leverage SAP capabilities to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance
internal controls. Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and
translate them into scalable SAP solutions that support regulatory compliance, audit requirements, and
internal control frameworks. - Technical Leadership and Implementation - Provide comprehensive technical leadership throughout
project lifecycles from initial blueprint development through go-live and ongoing post-implementation
support. Guide development teams in SAP configuration, customization, and enhancement activities while
designing and overseeing integration architectures that connect SAP with external systems, suppliers, and
manufacturing execution systems. Lead comprehensive solution testing strategies encompassing unit
testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing coordination. - Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with Procurement, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to
gather requirements and align SAP solutions with business goals. Serve as the liaison between business
users and development teams, ensuring accurate, efficient implementation. - Solution Governance and Support - Establish governance protocols and controls to ensure data integrity,
regulatory compliance, and secure access. Provide hands-on support during go-lives, upgrades, and
hypercare periods.

SKILLS & ABILITIES Education: - Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or
related field. - Experience: A minimum of 8–10 years of SAP experience; 5+ years focused on SAP MM, PP, ME,
WM/EWM.
Experience: - Over 8 years of hands-on experience in SAP implementations and support, with deep functional and
technical expertise in SAP S/4HANA across PTP and PTM process areas - Proven track record in designing and deploying scalable SAP PTP/PTM solutions encompassing Materials
Management (MM), Inventory Management (IM), Procurement, Production Planning (PP), and Quality
Management (QM) modules - Strong understanding of SAP integration technologies, including BAPIs (Business API’s), IDocs, and RFCs,
enabling seamless data exchange between SAP and third-party systems - In-depth knowledge of business processes in Source-to-Pay (S2P), manufacturing execution, and shop
floor integration with SAP ME/MII or equivalent MES systems - Experience with direct and indirect procurement, subcontracting processes, vendor invoice management,
and automated three-way match processes in SAP - Experience in implementing and supporting product costing, material ledger, and inventory valuation in
S/4HANA environments - Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into SAP
solution designs and system configurations - Agile project delivery experience, including working in Scrum or SAFe frameworks for SAP deployments
and enhancements - Familiarity with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and other BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau) for reporting and
dashboarding in procurement and manufacturing domains
Computer Skills: - Working knowledge of SAP procedural ABAP, user exits, BADIs, and enhancement frameworks commonly
used to fulfill RICEF (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) objects aligned with CPG-specific
procurement and manufacturing business requirements. - Proficient in integration technologies such as REST/SOAP web services, OData services, and EDI (ANSI X12,
EDIFACT) standards commonly used in CPG for supplier collaboration, logistics, and retail connectivity. - Solid understanding of SAP MM, PP, and logistics-related table structures, with expertise in data
extraction and reporting techniques for operational and analytical purposes. - Familiar with data modeling principles and relational database technologies; ability to optimize data
structures for manufacturing and procurement reporting use cases. - Exposure to middleware platforms (e.g., SAP PI/PO, MuleSoft) and ETL platforms used for integrating SAP
with warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation platforms (TMS), and external data
providers. - Strong grasp of integration and extension patterns used in the CPG industry for connecting SAP to third-party
MES, PLM, supplier portals, and retail execution platforms. - Experienced in architecting scalable, traceable integration flows to support real-time inventory visibility,
supplier EDI transactions, and manufacturing automation across diverse plant and vendor networks.
Certifications & Licenses: - Certifications in core modules (MM, PP, WM) are highly desirable.
