POSITION SUMMARY
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing SAP Record to Report (RTR) solutions that connect various financial systems and processes through SAP BTP and integration flows. The role requires expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance modules, SAP BTP, and integration technologies to create robust solutions that optimize financial processes. You will work cross-functionally with Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, design optimal solutions, and ensure successful implementation. This position has high visibility across the organization and requires both technical depth and business acumen to drive alignment between financial processes and technical solutions. This position reports to DevOps Manager

Essential Function Statement(s)
● SAP RTR Solution Design and Implementation - Lead the design and deployment of SAP Record to Report solutions, covering key financial areas such as General Ledger, Financial Closing, Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Cost Accounting, and reporting. Translate business needs into scalable SAP solutions, ensuring alignment with best practices and minimal customization. Define functional specs, configure systems, and collaborate with development teams for accurate implementation. Provide strategic leadership, develop architectural roadmaps, and design SAP RICEF objects to enhance financial processes.
● SAP BTP Integration Management - Guide and recommend SAP BTP platform integrations, serving as the solution architect for integrating SAP with external systems. Work with technical teams to design and implement cloud-native integration solutions that maintain clean core principles while enabling business process innovation.
● Financial Data Architecture - Lead the definition, documentation, and implementation of financial data standards. Develop data models, schemas, and frameworks optimized for finance-specific use cases and requirements. Ensure data readiness for system migrations and implementations, steering the data quality approach and ongoing management of financial data. Collaborate with business stakeholders to define the financial master data model that supports reporting requirements for all finance processes.
● Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with Finance leadership and subject matter experts to gather and analyze RTR business requirements. Work closely with IT development team, functional consultants, and solutions architects to ensure end-to-end solution integration. Collaborate with IT Basis to implement appropriate security controls and access management for financial applications. Serve as a liaison between technical teams and the Finance organization, effectively communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
● Solution Governance and Support - Establish governance procedures for financial integrations and data flows to ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies. Support cutover activities and troubleshooting during ERP launch, upgrades, and hyper care periods. Provide expert-level guidance on SAP RTR modules and integration technologies. Participate in the creation and ongoing review of training materials for initial design and future changes
● Technology Strategy & System Optimization- Drive innovation by staying current on SAP advancements,best practices, and industry trends, recommending strategic improvements. Build strong vendor relationships and align RTR solutions with IT and business strategies. Lead system optimization efforts by analyzing solution capabilities, enhancing scalability, and refining data models for financial processes. Provide IT leadership for implementations, ensuring adherence to architectural standards. Maintain system documentation and identify opportunities to improve process flow, particularly in sub-ledger and general ledger integrations.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
● Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
● Experience: A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in SAP implementation, configuration, and support, with at least 5 years specifically focused on SAP Finance modules and integration technologies. Must have full lifecycle experience in large-scale SAP implementations. Experience in translating business objectives into technical designs for financial systems. Demonstrated track record of successful SAP RTR implementations.
● Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Asset Accounting, and Controlling modules with the ability to design and develop scalable solutions.
● Awareness of SAP BAPI (Business API’s) integrations to facilitate seamless data exchange between SAP and external systems.
● Awareness of SAP BTP Integration Suite or similar middleware tools and capabilities for connecting cloud applications. Experience designing and implementing integration flows using SAP Cloud Integration is a plus.
● Strong knowledge of financial business processes, particularly in the SAP RTR domain.
● Experience with SAP Treasury, E-invoicing, SAP reporting, and financial consolidation.
● Experience in implementing and supporting Tax solutions, including integration and reporting requirements with 3rd party tools.
● Experience in collaborating with teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
● Strong Agile Development experience is a plus.
● Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or similar integrated business intelligence and data visualization platforms such as Domo, MS-Power BI, Tableau, etc., is preferred.
● Experience in guiding development and support teams, vendors, or partners (including offshore resources) to meet Service Level Agreement (SLA) targets and release schedules.
● Experience working with IT DevOps management tools (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.) to create, deploy, and manage applications and technology objects.
