Our client, a well regarded boutique legal practice specialising in corporate and commercial law, is seeking an experienced Associate with 4 - 8  years’ post qualification experience to join their growing team. 

This is an excellent opportunity to step into a senior, client facing role with genuine autonomy and involvement in a practice undergoing an exciting period of expansion, including the acquisition of another firm.

About the Role

You will handle a broad and varied caseload, including:

• Advising SME clients on acquisitions, structuring, and corporate transactions
• Drafting and negotiating shareholder agreements and commercial contracts
• Managing a range of commercial property matters, including leasing and development work
• Providing practical, commercially focused legal advice directly to clients
• Running matters with minimal supervision, with scope to take on broader practice responsibilities

About You

• 4-8 years' PQE in Australia, with strong corporate and commercial law experience (commercial property highly desirable)
• Confidence managing a diverse client base and independent matters
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and client communication skills
• A proactive, collaborative approach with leadership capability
• Experience in a boutique or mid sized firm environment preferred
• A strong commitment to client service and professional excellence
