Senior Associate – Workplace Relations & Education Law

Our client, a respected national law firm, is looking to hire Senior Associates for their Workplace Relations, Education & Safety team in Sydney.

This role involves handling diverse and challenging employment and industrial relations issues, with a focus on the education sector. You’ll work closely with clients on matters including employment contracts, workplace disputes, student welfare, and compliance.

What you’ll do:

• Provide practical advice on employment terms, performance, and dismissal
• Draft and negotiate contracts, enterprise agreements, and policies
• Manage workplace disputes and litigation in various forums
• Support client compliance with safety and student wellbeing regulations
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to training initiatives
• Engage in business development and client relationship building

Who we’re seeking:

• Lawyers with 4–5+ years’ experience in employment or workplace relations law
• Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills
• Commercially minded and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in education law is a plus but not mandatory
