We are a high-performing, collaborative national People & Development team, currently seeking a People & Development Officer to join our Sydney office.
Our team includes experienced leaders across People and Talent Acquisition who are not only experts in their fields, but are also committed to mentoring and supporting the growth of others.
About the role
This role works closely with our Sydney People & Development Manager to support stakeholders and employees in the Sydney office, while also contributing to firm-wide initiatives with the national P&D team as they arise.
Day to day you can expect the position to include:
- Act as a point of contact for all P&D related enquires, escalating those of a more complex nature
- Managing onboarding, internal movements and offboarding processes
- Foster trustworthy relationships with key stakeholders and their practice groups
- Taking ownership of employee files and data in our HRIS (IntelliHR)
- Support the TA team with the recruitment process as required including participation on interview panels and preparation of employment contracts
- Assisting stakeholders with probation and performance reviews
- Managing practising certificate renewals
- Coordination of our Early Careers program including assisting our TA team with interview scheduling, coordinating rotation reviews and practice group rotations
- Support WHS & Worker’s Compensation administration
- Coordinating secondments, work experience and temporary workers
- Participate in national P&D projects as required
About you
To succeed in this role you will, ideally, possess:
- Relevant tertiary education
- 2-4 years’ experience in a P&D or TA role
- Professional approach to business and excellent client service focus
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong relationship management experience
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to change
- Well-developed time management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- A solutions oriented approach with a willingness to pitch in and support the wider team when needed
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Appreciate the importance of maintaining confidentiality
- Resilience and a sense of humour!
