About the role
This is an exciting time to join our growing practice in Canberra and to be part of a national team with opportunities to assist colleagues and Partners in other offices across different jurisdictions.
We are seeking a motivated disputes lawyer, at Senior Associate level, to work with a dedicated team of lawyers on a variety of matters including complex disputes work for the Commonwealth Government. You will have the ability to work independently however also enjoy the dynamics of working in a team as well as playing a role in the development of lawyers and paralegals.
About you
You will be an engaged and driven lawyer with a proven track record of delivering outstanding results for your clients. You will have highly developed communication and drafting skills, enjoy a busy work environment and thrive in a collaborative work culture. You will be a skilled lawyer with excellent technical ability and a desire to help those around you and contribute to the overall morale and success of the team.
In addition, you will have:
- At least 5 years PAE, with experience in a commercial setting, ideally from a well-regarded litigation practice.
- Background in general disputes. Prior experience in investigations and/ or government disputes work will be highly regarded.
- Proven ability to remain organised, manage workflows under pressure and delegate appropriately.
- Experience in engaging with a broad range of individuals, with the ability to communicate effectively and develop trusted working relationships.
- Excellent analytical, research and drafting skills.
