Within our Property practice we have a highly successful leasing practice. The leasing practice works with large institutional landlords specialising in retail and commercial leases across New South Wales.
The team prides themselves on delivering exceptional service to their clients whilst fostering a dynamic, supportive work environment.
About the role
We are seeking a motivated and detailed oriented junior Leasing Administration Assistant with a genuine interest in developing a career within the property and leasing department. This position will work alongside another legal assistant to provide support to a team of lawyers engaged in high quality and high-volume leasing work.
Day to day you can expect to undertake the following duties:
- Supporting the leasing team with administration tasks, including but not limited to filing, data entry and managing correspondence;
- Management of incoming and outgoing mail;
- Organising both internal and client meetings for the team;
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of lease details in the leasing management system for both the team and our clients;
- Database management;
- Opening, closing and maintaining files;
- Assisting in the preparation of correspondence and various documents;
- Assisting the team with end of month billing;
- Scanning and photocopying;
- General administrative support to the team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early career professional to provide essential support to our busy leasing practice while developing their professional skills in a supportive environment.
About you You will enjoy working as a team within a fast paced, deadline driven environment. You will have a can-do attitude with a genuine desire to achieve client goals and pitch in with any task required to achieve those outcomes. You will also have:
- Some experience in an office/corporate environment would be beneficial;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel with an ability to learn systems quickly;
- The capacity to work with high-volume tasks under pressure;
- Excellent client service skills;
- Friendly and professional communication (both verbal and written);
- A keen eye for detail and excellent organisational skills;
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn;
- The ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team;
- The ability to take instructions and demonstrate initiative.
