Our property practice is amongst the leading property practices in Australia and has achieved national recognition by Best Lawyers as a Tier 1 law firm in Real Property Law.
Our Sydney team works with clients on a range of matters including complex leasing, capital transactions and land acquisitions and sales for development.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate/Special Counsel to join our busy and high performing team.
You will have the opportunity to work on matters for some of Australia’s leading real estate investment trusts, across its retail and office portfolios.
The team members currently work a hybrid model and will offer the same for this position.
About you
To be successful in this position you will possess the following:
- Currently a Senior Associate in a busy property practice
- Experienced in acting for institutional clients
- Experienced in running files commercial and retail leasing transactions from instruction through to completion, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating leases, works and incentive deeds and ancillary documents
- Strong drafting skills and excellent attention to detail
- Solid negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to mentor more junior lawyers/paralegals in the team
- Ability to work independently and proactively, and as well as supporting others in the team
